Viagra safe for men with heart failure

Though it is clear that drug does not increase heart related deaths, say researcher Linda J. Webster, and cMscN, of the University of Alberta.
In this recent study, Scientists looked at the effect treating ED with in a group of 35 men with mild to judicious heart failure who didnt use nitrates .This group randomly divided into two groups:
One group took Viagra for six weeks and then switched to a placebo for six weeks, and second group took a placebo for six weeks and took Viagra for another six week.
The results appeared in the March issue of the Archives of Internal Medicine.
The study revealed Viagra (Sildenafil) caused an average drop in pressure of about 6.5-9 mm Hg for the systolic blood pressure and 2.5-4 mmHg for the diastolic pressure.
Now researchers found Viagra improved ED and quality of life among this group and also decreased symptoms of depression.
This study provides new evidence that Viagra is safe and effective to treat men with ED.
